At least three people were killed and five others injured Saturday afternoon at a yearly motorcycle rally in Red River, New Mexico.

Red River Republican Mayor Linda Calhoun reportedly told media that the incident was “gang-related” and everyone involved is in police custody.

“All the individuals involved were members of biker gangs,” Calhoun said in an interview with CNN. She did not specify the participants’ alleged gang affiliation(s). Officials have previously said violence between rival biker gangs at the event is rare.

Calhoun said the first police officer was on the scene within 30 seconds after the call.

“It’s very tragic. Our law enforcement was incredible,” she said. “It’s the first time we’ve ever had anything like this. We do have accidents, we have had deaths before, but nothing like this.”

The gunfire occurred around 5 pm at the 41st Annual Red River Memorial Day Motorcycle Rally, where up to “28,000 bikers from all different backgrounds line Main Street for one crazy party,” according to organizers. Red River is a mountain town approximately 170 miles north of Albuquerque, near the Colorado state line.

Authorities said one of the injured was airlifted to a hospital in Denver, and law enforcement was called to “secure” two local medical centers providing treatment to others.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is assisting New Mexico State Police in the investigation.

The nearby city of Taos, approximately 40 miles from Red River, issued an emergency curfew at 10 pm on Saturday that prohibited alcohol sales. It lasted until 4 am Sunday.

The annual motorcycle rally began on Thursday and was scheduled to continue through Monday. However, Red River officials asked businesses to remain closed on Sunday while police continue to investigate. A post on Facebook late Saturday night said no one would be permitted near the crime scene, which includes most of Main Street.

According to the Sante Fe New Mexican, two people died and five others were injured at the event in 2019 after a motorcycle collision. The previous year, a man crashed his motorcycle in Red River while fleeing law enforcement.

On Saturday evening, just days before a potential default, a tentative agreement has been reached between President Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) on the debt ceiling.

"The White House and negotiators for House Republicans have reached an agreement in principle to avert a debt default, two sources familiar with the situation said," Reuters reports, adding that Biden and McCarthy had a 90 minute phone call on Saturday.

McCarthy held a brief conference following the news of a potential deal in which he outlined the progress that has been made.

"After weeks of negotiations, we have come to an agreement in principle. We still have a lot of work to do, but I believe this is an agreement in principle that is worthy of the American people," McCarthy said. "It has historic reductions in spending, consequential reforms that will lift people out of poverty into the workforce, [and] rein in government overreach. There are no new taxes, no new government programs…"

"We still have more work to do tonight to finish all the writing of it," the speaker added.

McCarthy said he expects the text of the bill to be posted on Sunday, with a vote to be held on Wednesday.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen had warned that the federal government would default on June 5 if an agreement wasn't reached. "We now estimate that Treasury will have insufficient resources to satisfy the government's obligations if Congress has not raised or suspended the debt limit by June 5," Yellen stated.

The Treasury Department said it has been enacting "extraordinary measures" since January when the United States hit its statutory limit of roughly $31.4 trillion, and has warned of dire economic consequences if the country is unable to reach a deal to lift the debt ceiling.

The White House and the GOP-led Congress have been engaged in a protracted battle over the details of a debt ceiling agreement. The president and Democrats broadly called for a clean debt ceiling raise even after the House passed a bill that would raise the debt ceiling while cutting discretionary spending and limit spending increases for the next decade.

The House Freedom Caucus, a bloc of conservative Republicans, previously said they would consider voting to raise the debt limit in exchange for a framework that returns expenditures to fiscal year 2022 levels, raises the debt ceiling only for the next year, and restricts annual spending growth to 1% over the next decade. McCarthy recently passed the framework in the House by means of the "Limit, Save, Grow Act."

For example, this week, the Supreme Court released a unanimous 9 – 0 decision against the Environmental Protection Agency and the Biden administration, thereby drastically cutting back the federal government’s overreach. So, what did Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) do? Well, he threw them all under the bus with a warning to Americans.

Dan McLaughlin of National Review summed up how ludicrous Schumer’s claim was.

Four of the justices — the three liberals and Justice Brett Kavanugh — disagreed over the limits the EPA is afforded by Congress.

For his part, Kavanaugh wrote, "By narrowing the act's coverage of wetlands to only adjoining wetlands, the court's new test will leave some long-regulated adjacent wetlands no longer covered by the Clean Water Act, with significant repercussions for water quality and flood control throughout the United States.”

Readers should keep in mind that Kavanaugh is one of the justices who Schumer threatened in 2020.

So Schumer has a long history of revving up his base with fear-mongering and demagoguery. This is exactly his goal in labeling the High Court a “MAGA Supreme Court.” He, and other Democrats, want the American people to believe that it is somehow “illegitimate” and dangerous.

Despite his qualms about former President Donald Trump’s supposed undermining of norms and democracy, he does not hesitate to sow distrust of any institution that stands in his party’s way for power.

Schumer is one of the party’s top leaders. There is no appeasing the Left — they will always paint you in the worst light possible so that they can gain more power.

Whoever runs the Los Angeles Dodgers promotional events department must think Christians are a bunch of schmucks.

On Friday, after a week of condemnation for re-inviting the deviant anti-Roman Catholic drag group “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,” the Dodgers announced that the team would be hosting “Christain Faith And Family Day” in July. Bishop Robert Barron from the Diocese of Winona-Rochester was not buying it.

The “Christian Faith and Family Day” announcement came after the aforementioned Barron called for a boycott of the team.

As has now been extensively covered, the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence" are made up of adult men who dress as perverted nuns. In turn, they openly sexualize Jesus Christ and degrade Mary Mother of God while disparaging other key components of the Roman Catholic faith and encourage "sexual liberation."

"Anti-Catholicism is the last acceptable prejudice in America, and we shouldn't tolerate it," Barron also stated.

Indeed, it’s good to see that Barron didn’t cave after the Dodgers’ embarrassing attempt to stave off any more damage to the team’s brand.

The Texas House of Representatives took the unprecedented move to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton on Saturday following an investigation into allegations of corruption.

After the 121-23 vote, in which two members voted present, Paxton was temporarily suspended from his office as he now has to wait for a trial in the Senate.

Paxton faced 20 articles of impeachment. The articles allege that Paxton committed a number of infractions, including violating the state's whistleblower law, entering "into a settlement agreement with the whistleblowers that provides for payment of the settlement from public funds," violating the Securities Act, and other activities.

Axios noted that Paxton is only the "third state official in Texas history to be impeached," following a former governor in 1917 and a judge in 1975.

Following the impeachment, Paxton issued a tweet claiming that the impeachment is "illegal, unethical, and profoundly unjust."

On Tuesday, it was revealed that the state House Committee on General Investigating was probing Paxton's attempt to settle a 2020 lawsuit using an alleged $3.3 million in public money. As part of its investigation, the committee has subpoenaed Paxton's office for records.

Four former employees of the attorney general's office brought the suit in 2020, claiming they were retaliated against after accusing Paxton of corruption. The state legislature refused to fund the settlement, so the case continues to work its way through the courts.

Texas Winery owner Chris Grider was sentenced this week to SEVEN YEARS in prison for handing his helmet to a violent protester who used it to beat on glass doors inside the US Capitol.  US Capitol Police were seen walking away from the doors after the protesters reached the area.  Several more police were filmed standing by as protester Zachary Alam started beating on the windows.

Trump supporter and veteran Ashli Babbitt was then shot in cold blood by Lt. Mike Byrd after she attempted to climb through the windows.

Byrd was never interviewed before he was pardoned by DC officials for killing Babbitt.

This week U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly ordered Grider to prison for 83 months, one month short of 7 years, for handing his helmet to Zachary Alam who then beat on the windows.

The Washington Free Beacon obtained tax documents Tuesday showing the Marxist Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation (BLM GNF) plunged millions of dollars into the red. The BLM GNF was founded in November 2020 ostensibly to provide a more formal of structuring of the BLM Movement.

At the same time, BLM GNF is still doling out millions of dollars to relatives of its co-founder Patrisse Cullors and several board members. As the Daily Mail notes, Cullors resigned in May 2021.

Cullors once claimed that financial disclosures would be “triggering” and “unsafe.” Now we know what she wanted to cover up.

The Free Beacon reported:

Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation ran an $8.5 million deficit and saw the value of its investment accounts plummet by nearly $10 million in the most recent tax year, financial disclosures show. The group logged a $961,000 loss on a securities sale of $172,000, suggesting the charity weathered a staggering 85 percent loss on the transaction.

These troubles didn't stop BLM from doling out seven-figure contracts to friends and family of its former executive director Patrisse Cullors, who once said charity financial disclosures were "triggering" and "deeply unsafe."

It's no surprise that Cullors was so fearful of disclosing Black Lives Matter's finances to the public. The revelations in Black Lives Matter's latest Form 990 show that the group is on the fast track to financial insolvency, and that the excesses of Cullors's tenure have not abated under her chosen successor, Shalomyah Bowers.

The financial losses come after a year of missteps and setbacks for the embattled charity. BLM raised just $9.3 million in its 2022 fiscal year, down 88 percent from its haul the year prior. Black Lives Matter was forced to shut off its online fundraising streams in February 2022 due to compliance and transparency issues in several liberal states.

The group has blown through two-thirds of the $90 million it raised in the wake of George Floyd's death in the summer of 2020. BLM spent about $12 million of those funds on luxury homes in Los Angeles and Toronto.

Do not forget, as The Gateway Pundit previously reported that donations to BLM were also going directly to ActBlue, the fundraising platform for the DNC.  It is not clear how many MILLIONS OF DOLLARS the Democrats raised by pushing this ruse on the American public.

Joe Biden’s broken border is encouraging dangerous behavior by migrant smugglers.

Customs and Border Protection released new video of a migrant smuggler dropping  a 4-year-old boy from the top of an almost 30-foot border wall near San Ysidro in San Diego.

The video shows an adult at the top of the border wall dragging the small child over the top of wall before dangling the child.

The boy is then dropped almost 30-feet to the ground below.

The smuggler then drops from the wall to collect the child from a heap on the ground.

He is joined by a second older child who was already waiting at the base of the wall.

Cheer Raul Ortiz shared, “A 4-year-old was dropped from the border barrier by an unknown subject in San Diego, Monday. Responding Agents and EMS providing first aid to the child also reported gunshots near their position while tending to the child. Remarkably, the child is ok! Do not trust smugglers!”

The New York Post reports:

The group was quickly apprehended by Customs and Border Patrol agents, who rushed to aid the injured boy, but were interrupted by heavy gunfire.

The foursome was ordered to take cover as a CBP Air and Marine Operations helicopter rushed to provide air protection and Mexican law enforcement rushed to secure their side of the border, where agents believe the shots originated.

Seven years later and twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is still making the rounds complaining about losing to Donald Trump.

Pressed on whether Trump will win a second term, Clinton insisted she was the rightful victor of the 2016 presidential race

“The Electoral College is a terrible anachronism that, you know, has caused people like me who win the popular vote not to be president,” Clinton grumbled at an event hosted by the Financial Times in Washington, DC. “But that’s beside the point.”

“So think about this. I win by nearly 3 million votes over Trump in 2016. I lose the Electoral College by 77,000 votes. Biden wins by over 7 million votes and wins the Electoral College by 100,000 votes. It was a mirror image of what happened to me, only I was on the losing side and Biden was on the winning side.”

The scandal-plagued former secretary of state warned Trump is livid because he failed to steal the 2020 election as he had in 2016.

Trump “is angry because his game failed, his rigged game to steal the election,” she said.

A return of Trump to the White House will spell gloom and doom, Clinton seethed.

“If Trump wins, which I do not believe will happen, let me just quickly say that. If in some scenario that were to happen, it would be the end of democracy in the United States, it would be the end of Ukraine. It would become a — you know, he will pull us out of NATO if he wins again. And just like he pulled us out of the Iran deal, he pulled us out of the Paris Accords. He will pull us out of NATO.”

On Friday, Biden was captured nearly slipping on a set of stairs while visiting Japan for the G7 summit. He caught himself before hitting the ground. Biden has publicly fallen and stumbled more than any president in history and can barely walk or talk.

Asked about Biden’s competency amid his ostensibly fragile health, Clinton ceded Biden’s age “is a concern for anyone” and “an issue” that “people have every right to consider.”

She then touted Biden’s ability to compete and create jobs.

“I am of the camp that I think he’s determined to run; he has a good record that, three years ago, people would not have predicted would have gotten done,” Clinton said. “He doesn’t get the credit yet that he deserves for what is happening out in the country in terms of jobs, growth, planning for the future with CHIPS and other stuff.

“I obviously hope he stays very focused and able to compete in the election because I think he can be reelected and that is what we should all hope for.”

Eighty-year-old Biden recently launched his 2024 reelection bid. He would be 86-years-old by the end of a second term.
