Nicholas Sandmann has settled his $275M defamation lawsuit against NBC, the third $200M+ lawsuit settlement he’s had in the past year

I’m getting the feeling that Nick Sandmann is gonna be able to afford that new Playstation 5 he’s had his eye on for a long time:
Covington Catholic High School student Nicholas Sandmann announced Friday that he settled a $275 million defamation lawsuit against NBC.
Neither party publicized the terms of the settlement. However, Sandmann asked for $275 million in damages in his lawsuit against NBC Universal and MSNBC.
“At this time I would like to release that NBC and I have reached a settlement,” Sandmann tweeted. “The terms are confidential…”
Sandmann’s settlement with NBC comes after two settlements with the Washington Post and CNN. He settled the $275 million lawsuit with CNN in January and the $250 million lawsuit against the Washington Post in July.
Those are big numbers. I don’t know what the average percentage of damages is in cases where defamation suits are settled. But assume it’s as low as 10%—that means Mr. Sandmann is around $80 million richer than he was before this whole thing started.
